Chez2   10 #111 Posted September 13, 2011 Thought you could put private number plate on any vehicle if you pay the registration/changeover fee  You can't put a current/modern plate on an older vehicle as it makes it look younger than it is. I think that the only rule.  When I was a kid I used to see an battered car driving around with the reg plate GET 1. This was well before private plates were sold.
