Is the Ann Summers shop appropriate for Meadowhall?

Recommended Posts

In all seriousness, I'm no prude or anything like that, but there is a time and place for that sort of thing, and Meadowhall isn't it.

So where and when exactly do you do "that sort of thing" and what is it that you do then and there?:o

always amuses me where people's morality lies.

sex and attraction are essential to the species yet people want them hidden away.

personally i would put black windows on the apple store, that shop is way more obscene,

along with any of the hideous fashion stores busy convincing people that the beautiful thing they bought a few months ago is now so ugly they have to replace it.

I agree. Some people would prefer to see stores like this consigned to dimly lit back alleyways. There is a reason Ann Summers is such a big name, because a hell of a lot of people use it.

high heels, stockings and suspenders, fishnets, nipple tassles etc, in full view of young children??

Have a word with yourself.

Apart from the nipple tassles i would have thought any of those can be bought from various stores in Meadowhall.

i would rather my girlfriend could go do a bit of shopping, pop into ann summers and get herself something nice then have a coffee and continue shopping.

would you rather she drove to attercliffe?

The items shown in the shop window or in view when walking past are no worse than what children see on tv or on the front of magazines in a doctors surgery.

I've seen boards next to roads advertising movies which show more than you can see from the front of Ann Summers.

I agree Kittenta

There are lingerie departments in most of the big retailers in Meadowhall. Does that mean that, Big Time, you feel that the likes of M and S are also inappropriate?

only seen the high lighted round the back and i certainly wouldnt take a child into the back of the shop ( never taken my child in there at all )

high heels? tights and stocking? your kidding me right? you can buy them in any womens shoe or clothing department. you might want to be having a word with yourself, not all women are happy wearing thick socks and hiking boots on an evening out

I'll keep it short and sweet - I dont think it is, especially where it is located in Meadowhall, in the High Street part, from the main entrance where you just cant miss it.

I suppose it's for adults only (actually I'm not sure about this) but so is the pub and the cinema when it's got 18 films on. As long as they're not showing porn films or diplaying huge dildos in the window, I don't see a problem.

Why not ? You dont have to go in there. Its quite entertaining looking round though, although I once bought a pocket pleaser, which didnt please, and ended up in the waste bin.!!:hihi:

You have to be 18 now to go in too. Iv been asked for ID before! From the front you can only see underwear, and the toys etc are at the back so no one can see from outside, so I don't see the problem

All the more risque stuff is in the back section, and you have to be 18 to go in there :)
