Bargepole23 Â Â 337 #16 Posted December 14, 2016 Abbey Glass at Woodseats made one for me. Took a colour sample in and they matched it. Very pleased with the service and the end result.
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #17 Posted December 14, 2016 This is an old thread I realise, but what's the going rate for splashbacks? Are they priced by the sqr metre, do the number of cut outs affect the price? 18 months after having a new kitchen fitted I've decided that it would be sensible to have the entire under cabinet length of wall fitted with glass. The hob already has a glass splashback, but there's about another 3.5 metres on one side, 30 cm on the other, and 2 side returns of about 75cm. Paint marks too easily, and even kitchen paint shows up the marks left from a hot joint spitting fat onto the wall!
 Share this content via...
jjbarnesfan   10 #18 Posted December 14, 2016 I ended up getting mine from Royston Glass in Barnsley. If my memory serves me well if you ring them with the required dimensions they will give you a quote and you might want to visit them to view the colour choice. Cyclone   10 #19 Posted December 14, 2016 Most places seem to be able to do any RAL colour and often any Dulux colour as well, with some places offering digital image printing as well.
 Share this content via...

From memory, it was about £130 from Abbey Glass finished on the reverse in a RAL colour of my choice.
 Share this content via...

Vini   10 #24 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) After trying 3 or 4 locally, in/around Sheffield (including Art Glass, Abbey Glass and MGP) we ended up buying online from LuxGlass, based in Coventry. It cost us £115 shipped for a single 80x70cm splashback. I'm trying to think why we ordered online/from Coventry and I think it was because most companies offered RAL matching, but not Pantone (or something along those lines)!  We had to have it replaced, as the first one which was shipped based solely on a Pantone Reference card (628C) and whilst the pantone reference and our paint matched, we were disappointed by the colour match of the glass splash back. I was driving to London anyway, so dropped it back in with them - not sure how a return would normally have worked!  Anyway, LuxGlass gladly replaced it free of charge, and second time around, we supplied a paint sample on a piece of plain paper. The match second time around was far superior.  Whether you use LuxGlass or not, thats upto you, my point here is that you're probably best to supply a paint sample rather than rely on colour wheels/references.
