Leah-Lacie   10 #2 Posted August 31, 2011 I'm not sure in general, but it is the only network that has a guaranteed decent signal in my house (Norton Lees) Orange and Tmobile are sketchy, unless I go upstairs at the front of the house where its quite good I lose reception quite often downstairs, Vodafone is non existant downstairs, and o2 is pants all over x
 Share this content via...

Rich   12 #7 Posted August 31, 2011 Mate, don't go with 3, their signal is pants, and as a company/mobile provider they're the worst out IMO.  Indian call centres as well, that's enough right there to put me off!
 Share this content via...
timhope   10 #8 Posted August 31, 2011 They have got better and do normally have the best data plans but as said before 'indian callcentres'
 Share this content via...
medusa   16 #9 Posted August 31, 2011 They claim to have a really good signal where we live, but the only way that my OH can make a phone call is if he goes outside away from the shadow of the house, and it has been like this consistently whilst he's had the 3 SIM, including trying it in two different phones.  Whatever they say in their coverage figures, the fact is that you'll either have good coverage or you won't, and our experience is contrary to their claimed figure. Randy   10 #10 Posted August 31, 2011 I have a 3 mobile broadband dongle and the signal in Chapeltown is awful when I try to use it on my home PC. I'm lucky if I get past the opening "welcome to 3" screen before it goes down and I get the dreaded "you are not connected to the internet" page.  Weirdly though, if I use the dongle with my netbook in the same room, the signal appears to be much better. It still goes down every 2-3 minutes but at least you can view a couple of pages inbetween!  I'd like to cancel my contract but it's impossible as it appears no-one in their indian call centre can understand English so you just go round in circles and end up hanging up. Rich   12 #11 Posted August 31, 2011 Back when I tried to get out of contract with 3, I sent them 30 days notice, in writing, prior to the end of the contract, 30 days later, they denied ever recieving such a letter, and I had to get very upset with them over the phone and threatened them with legal action if they did not end the contract there and then, suffice to say it worked.
