Can anyone recommend an irish band ?

i am organising a party for my mums birthday and would like to book a small band playing irish music ( no leprachaun jokes please )

it would be a saturday afternoon gig in the city centre.

if not irish, any kind of sing along type music.

i would ask at dog & partridge on trippet lane

 

they know all the irish musicians as it is a well known place for irish music practice and of course st patrick's day

Dog and Partridge is now called Flynns, and true they have the most authentic Irish style musicians play there ,

Shamrock band are very good if you want to see them they are playing at st vincents club on solly street next tuesday or pm me for more details .

We just had them for my grandad's birthday, they also play at the dog and partridge I think on a Monday evening. They are fab.

I suppose it depends what you mean by Irish music. I saw this pretty good Irish rock band in a venue along Attercliffe Road about this time 2 years ago. Can't remember what they were called - Youtube or something like that.
