joiner andy   10 #37 Posted April 5, 2012 The large room has a window and radiator at both ends so shouldn't be a problem there. The whole house will be having a re-wire at the same time as the partition so that will sort lights and sockets. We just need some idea of exactly where the wall and new doors will go in order to get the size rooms we want. Do we need a builder/joiner or architect?  hiya contact me on number below, i can advise you on this thanks andy
 Share this content via...

Do we need a builder/joiner or architect?  A decent joiner would sort this out, its quite straight forward. I don't generally seek work off the forum but there are some obviously good lads on here like Joinerandy and Jeff that have good feedback. I would say, seeing as you have the electrics sorted, getting a radiator in first.... the rest is plain sailing. I am presuming this is a first floor room, second floor have different regs. StuartB Â Â 10 #46 Posted April 8, 2012 Building regs for window size in relation to floor area is 10% minimum. And opening part 5%. Check building regs for means of escape rules. If extra room complies, then it adds the value when you come to sell. Valuer/surveyors notice these things. Â Hi, Please explain where these details are from, as I believe them to wholly incorrect
 Share this content via...
