mart   71 #4 Posted August 5, 2011 Yes, that is the one on Norfolk street. Is that the only one?
 Share this content via...
beegee7   10 #5 Posted August 5, 2011 Yes, that is the one on Norfolk street. Is that the only one?  Yes that's it for the city centre. The other Sam Smiths pubs in Sheffield & area are:  1 Mother Redcap, Bradway 2 Cow & Calf, Grenoside 3. Traveller's Rest, Oughtibridge 4. Red Grouse, Stocksbridge 5. New Broom, Rotherham 6 Saxon, Kiveton Park  There may well be others - if so Forummers please add to this list.
 Share this content via...
beegee7 Â Â 10 #6 Posted August 5, 2011 Hop Pole, Ollerton - near enough perhaps - and possibly the largest beer garden in the world. Positively gargantuan.
 Share this content via...
mart   71 #7 Posted August 5, 2011 (edited) Are you thinking of Owlerton, as Ollerton is in Newark? Edited August 5, 2011 by mart
 Share this content via...
beegee7 Â Â 10 #8 Posted August 6, 2011 Are you thinking of Owlerton, as Ollerton is in Newark? Â Sorry if I confused you with my last post. Not quite Newark, but yes Ollerton village, out following the A616, I did say Sheffield and area, maybe I drew the area too large, though I think nothing of travelling 40 or 50 miles to try out new boozers. Owlerton, (think dog track and Hillsborough) has no Sam Smiths pubs at all.
 Share this content via...
Lady Star   10 #9 Posted August 9, 2011 Are you thinking of Owlerton, as Ollerton is in Newark?  I thin he means Ollerton as near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire??? I don't think Newark has a area that is called Ollerton... Don't confuse the Ollerton Hop pole with the Retford one either... mart   71 #10 Posted August 9, 2011 I am only referring to the Hop pole hotel, and the address is Main Street Ollerton Newark Nottinghamshire NG22 9AD see link http://www.wheresbest.co.uk/venue/95528/Hop-Pole-Hotel/ I don`t know if this is the same place, but either way with ref to my OP i was interested in Sheff or very close to. I don`t consider Notts OR Newark OR Retford close to Sheff centre.
 Share this content via...
