Raychul69   10 #1 Posted July 25, 2011 Hey everyone,  I'm in the process of trying to set up an e-commerce site and can't come up with a quirky name.  I'm basically be going to be selling gifts, electrical goods, toys. Just general things all at undercut prices x I want something that say things are low priced but dont want it to sound like I'm selling crap  If I choose a name someone comes up with I'll supply you with a bottle of your fave tipple   Cheers guys x
 Share this content via...

skinz   10 #11 Posted July 25, 2011 If you're going to pick a name, might as well choose one that has a chance of some decent traffic. If you want the word gift or gifts, people currently tend to search using phrases like,  "gift ideas" "gifts for men" "birthday gifts" "christmas gifts" "valentines gifts" "wedding gifts" "gift ideas for her" "birthday gift ideas" "anniversary gifts" "baby gifts" "21st birthday gifts" "fathers day gifts" "mothers day gifts" "gifts for girlfriend" "personalised gifts"  etc so when it comes to gifts, people focus on the event or person rather than an actual product.  If you are fixed on appearing cheap, just use any of the discount bargain type words mixed in.  At least on your gift site you will know to categorise by event and age which is reflected in a similar way to how sites like moonpig arrange their categories.  Just found a good example to highlight my quick research above. http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/  They use a catchy domain name for gift/product store branding but as you hover over the gift navigation at the top you will see how they categorise and use some of the keywords I listed.
