Lady Star   10 #2 Posted July 20, 2011 In Sheffield itself? Try Botanical Gardens or Graves Park... In the area, then it has to be the Peak District - Castleton has some easy walks and nice fields with lovely views for picnics, as does Hope or Edale... You can get a bus, or catch the train
 Share this content via...
taxman   12 #3 Posted July 20, 2011 Rivelin Valley is nice and is local. My favourite place is Wyming Brook near Redmires which is easy to get to by car or bus (plus walk). It's a steep narrow valley with a fast flowing stream, big boulders, bridges and perfect places to picnic, paddle, lounge and relax. gluedtopc   10 #6 Posted July 21, 2011 Lower Bradfield is nice, if you go on a Sunday there might be a cricket match on-only about 30 mins from Sheffield. I f you want to stay local, there is a nice seating area outside Castle Market, and to save time, you can get all your sarnies etc. from Greggs. Hope this helps.
