Ben Needham MEGATHREAD

Recommended Posts

The main difference between the mccanns and the needham family, is one is working class, and the other is middle.

The McCanns are one generation away from being working class. They are both high-achievers from working-class families, she from Liverpool, he from Glasgow. Mrs McCann studied medicine at the University of Dundee, qualified as an anaesthetist, then retrained as a GP because the work would be easier to combine with motherhood.

Her husband was the youngest of five children of Irish immigrants. His father was a joiner; his mother worked in a biscuit factoryhttp://www.mccannfiles.com/id1.html

The most important thing in both these cases is the children who are still missing, nitpicking about 'class' doesn't help.

was 12 a page pullout in the sun, overkill, why won't the sun do the same for the needhams?

Are you saying there are no upper class people in Liverpool and Glasgow? and are you saying they should have left a three year old alone every night of their holiday?

Signed it too, watched Crimewatch tonight and there do seem to be a lot of people working on the Madeleine case, the new information seems to revolve around a few men hanging around the complex, and a guy carrying a child in the direction of the beach.

I've always thought that the McCann's movements were being watched :(

Of course they will have, they will have been subjected to heavy surveillance.

If you genuinely want to compare the two facebook pages, then unfortunately the link you've posted for Madeline McCann isn't a fair comparison to the one for Ben Needham. The real one is here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Madeleine-McCann/278086562262607

The McCanns, rich, powerful, connected.

The Needhams, poor, ordinary, ignored.

Photogenic Mrs. McCann.

Gaunt and hurting Ms. Needham.

Where would the media be if the Needham victim re-appeared? Right there covering it as if they cared. All to sell papers. But publicity to help find missing Ben? No way.

It's the way of the world but we'd like to believe everyone gets a fair shake. They don't. Cameron is a friend of the McCanns - can't do enough.

It's absolutely criminal how the mother has been treated, neglected, ignored.

How she's survived it I can't imagine. I just hope Ben, 21 months old, has.
