Tell us a Limerick (Part 7)

Recommended Posts

I'm sat here half watching the telly

Enjoying bands playing at Glastonbury

But I'd rather be me

On my lovely settee

Than stood in the mud in one wellie

However in August I've a ticket for Leeds

To see Pulp sing a song about Weeds:)

I have got high hopes

About seeing The Strokes

And the odd song of Sea Sick Steves:suspect:

What happened to the other wellie

Did your foot become a bit smellie

From wallowing in the mud

Longer than maybe you shud

Or someone stood on your toe in the melee

Denlin must be in a hurry

She's writing down poems with a flurry

But they look really stark

When they lack her trademark

Of smilies,i'm starting to worry.

Sorry that I didn't add smiley on mi poem:D

I guess my mind must be starting to roem:roll:

I'll try to ensure that I don't blot

My copy book again not a jot:D

So that Rossy at the mouth will not foem:hihi::hihi::love::love:

Panic over, they're back with a bang

Not just one smilie, but a whole gang

You may think us old sillies

But it gave me the willies

When i saw them again my heart sang.

Seems rhymings no longer the rage

As much as i stare

I find nothing there

Please post now and don't take an age.

Hi rossyrooney, here is a rhyme

which I think is on time

to safeguard the thread

and keep us ahead

if not sublime

There's something I just had to fix

It only takes one or two clicks

I think that I should

For everyone's good

Get part seven above part six.

I'm unaverse to writing a verse

If it avers on the worse I get terse

I'm not re-definin' ...

If it aint got no rhyme in

I'm just getting worser and worse!

:D

What a lot of erse in your rhyme

It resembles something sublime

Whilst up to your knees

In copycat bees

How on earth do you find the time.

I'm off on my jollies tomorrow

I say this without any sorrow

A really good time

Is gonna be mine.

If a few quid i can borrow.
