Architects of Air

Recommended Posts

Sheffield Cathedral is thrilled to announce that Architects of Air will be coming to Sheffield Cathedral for the first time. The most spectacular event of the year to come to South Yorkshire.

Arriving from Saturday 23- Thursday 28 July.

Architects of Air is an internationally renowned inflatable walk in art installation, manufactured from translucent pvc, the Luminarium, Amococo. The structure transforms natural light into a kaleidoscope of liquid light and colour spilling across labyrinthine pathways, cavernous domes and curved walls. The initial reaction is often one of wonder and delight at the unexpected beauty created ,often described as walking through a stained glass window.

With thanks to Sheffield City Council

I went to see this installation in Geneva a couple of years ago.

It's quirky and rather difficult to describe what it's like, but I absolutely loved it. It's not just for the kids, either.

It's an opportunity not to be missed!
