orbs   10 #1 Posted June 22, 2011 my friend has ms she has had it about 2 1/2 years now following a bad accident, three times her sister has applied for disability for her and been refused each time by DWP who say she hasnt got it. she is under the RHH had brain scan. she has just had 10 weeks in lastest attack (sorry dont know what its called) consultant has recommended a certain medication but waiting for PCT to come up with the cost. what we want to know is who can advise her on how to apply for benefits. the district nurse has filled in a form, that was rejected. is there an ms group she could ask? when she walks she looks drunk Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
Grahamfff   10 #2 Posted June 22, 2011 In general, receiving Disability Living Allowance depends on whether the individual meets the criteria, which are to do with what they can and cannot do for themselves. It's not the case that a diagnosis of X will trigger payment of benefit but a diagnosis of Y won't.  Suggest your friend goes to their local advice centre for help with submitting a claim.
