One thing I'd advise if you're using flickr to make your user name more unique, it will be easy to tract where they end up I used for a while had around 5,000 images mostly the free charity gigs even they've eneded up hot linked all over other peoples websites without them asking if I minded.

My advice, when you're ready setup a cheap website, don't use a flash set up, people will just get bored waiting for it to load and move on quickly.

I use a simple setup to the message across and don't use things like hotmail emails, and I never put my best images online, copyright can be a nightmare chasing pain even if its only in the uk.

On keeping colour and sky polarising filter on sunny days will work wonders

Photography for a job, depending on which subjects you intend to focus on, these days it can be hard to specialise be prepared to be diverse in subjects and don't feel you need to invest in tonnes of equipment, most of mine over the years have been basic and secondhand until i had enough earning power even then I still picked up cheap cameras and lenses, its mostly commitment over ability when earning money.

camera quailty, online and in small print, my images its hard to tell which were taken with a nikon D3 or D2H, so don't think that you always need the latest or best camera to do a good job.

Good luck, keep clicking and above all enjoy.

I'm not really much into 'art' photos but they were a lot better than good.

They show imagination and an 'eye' for what's going to be of interest, even to a philistine like me.

Top stuff - carry on and here's hoping you have the success you clearly deserve.

PS - The OP is cute; nice eyes.

Steve,

Firstly thank you for taking time to look at my photo’s.

Thanks for that tip I’ll have to try and think of one!

I will get one of those filters and see what results I get.

I don’t think I’m specialised as I take photos of everything however I do like the natural world big and little as well as people and locations.

I would love to do this as a job as I’m leaving college this year and not going to Uni so I would like to work my way up and travel around the world - Maybe having a blog?

The only equipment I have at the moment is my camera which I love a tripod and a macro converter much cheaper than a actual macro lens which I wouldn’t be able to afford :/

I would love to have a good name in the industry I know It’s hard work but I’m sure it would be worth it!

Upinwath,

Also thank you for taking the time to look at my photo’s.

Thanks for your comments as It’s nice to hear that people enjoy looking at my work!

I'm not known for my subtle bending of the truth to be nice to someone.

The last photos I noticed on here were a pile of dog crap and I said so.

Worse because they were supposed to be pro and were trying to sell their rubbish to posters.

They were truly crap.

Yours are not. They're interesting and you clearly have an eye for, and an interest in, what you do.

A bit of something for everyone in those pages.

I wish you every success and hope you get the fame you desire and deserve.

Upinwath,

Well thank you then It's nice to hear somebody say that, and actually enjoy looking at my work. I do not consider my self a pro although I would like to one day in the future, Thankyou I like to think there is something for everyone as i get bored looking at the same types of images so i like to mix it up so we don't get bored as this is when you loose interest. It's to have a change and also to change with the seasons as well as the times.

Keep looking as I keep updating it all the time
