Jamie   10 #1 Posted November 5, 2005 I'm getting squeeling noises from the car, while I accelerate. It also feels like it's loosing power as I accelerate, not too sure if it is, just feels like it.  How do I know if I need a new cluth?  p.s. MODS, is this post in the right place? (ask an expert is no more).
 Share this content via...
Hook   10 #2 Posted November 5, 2005 Might just be the fan/drive belt...
 Share this content via...
si@guisborough   10 #3 Posted November 5, 2005 You don`t normally get any noise from a slipping clutch, so it `s probably the alternator belt. You can test your clutch- put the car in top gear, and slowly release clutch with a few revs on, like you would on a hill start. If the clutch is shot, the engine won`t stall. (keep the handbrake on)
 Share this content via...
