Calling women 'scrubbers' is disrespectful. How would you feel if you heard your wife/daughter/mother referred to like that?

He's just trying to wind you up. Ignore it ... we all do. That'll hurt him far more ;)

The simplicity of your analysis and argument is stupefying!

Nobody is being fleeced if they know what they are paying for and get it.

And if I accept the characterisation of objectifying (which I don't), it's still not an argument for stopping it. If women are happy to sell that service then who are you to tell them they can't?

You call this argument simplistic buy you don't appear to understand the concept of objectivism and the negative effect it has on society- it's not good for anyone. If it was just a case of blokes handing over wads of cash for a 'service' as you say. Thats a LINEAR argument my friend.

Strip clubs are the way forward for progressive society? That sounds dumb to me, I'm the total opposite view on this one I'm afraid.

Haven't you ever heard of camp followers for god's sake? They're as old as the Legions of Rome.

They're not maidens of virtue and dont pretend to be. I have no hang ups about calling them what they are the same way as some guys could be called assholes and maybe I'm one at times:D

Drop this appearance of primness and propriety. It dont fool me

Freedom is the way forward for a progressive society, and that means the freedom for people to do things that you might not approve of or choose to do yourself.

I know you're from an older generation, but can't you see that your coarseness (either innate or assumed) is all part of the attitude people are arguing against?

Calling a man an arsehole is a totally different thing from calling a woman a scrubber. Anyone can be a total dick, I mean, you're being one now, but no-one holds being stupid against anyone in the same way they do against women in the sex industry, even if it was years before.

Well said, well explained. It's not an easy concept for some people to grasp, obviously.

This thread has been great, but so hypocritical, by the feminists. If it wasn't funny, it would be sad. I can't understand how some can keep banging on about the same stuff, what they got out of some rubbish sociology book, and ignore the facts that-

I. Women choose to work there.

2. Women use men as sex objects in the same way by visiting sex shows with male performers.

3. There are lesbian strip clubs where women pay other women to take their cloths off.

4. Male Escorts, for women, are always in demand.

Anyone? Are women as bad?

What adjective would you use for women who hang around outside air force bases looking to be picked up?

Calling women 'scrubbers' is disrespectful.

Not when they are.

It probably would be, if she hangs around air force bases looking to be picked up.
