Plug 10 #1 Posted May 23, 2011 Shuffle presents Geisha Tickets £5 http://www.the-plug.com/events-and-tickets/shuffle/shuffle-presents-geisha Rounding off yet another tip top month of Saturday night Shuffles we bring you something a little bit special fresh from the streets of London town. On Saturday 28th May GEISHA GIRLS night rolls into town with three lovely ladies leading the charge - LOTTIE, SMOKIN JO and SUZE ROSSER join forces for a night of house musical heaven. Since its inception in the summer of 2010 Geisha has hosted parties in Ibiza and London and now for 2011 starts a bi-monthly residency at the super cool Cargo. A brainchild of fellow DJs Lottie and Suze Rosser the night was created to showcase the best in Female DJ talent in the UK. Joining us for it's first ever trip to Sheffield the night will see a return to Shuffle for one of our favourites LOTTIE, a debut for one of the legends of the UK house music scene SMOKIN JO and SUZE ROSSER. LOTTIE has played for us several times now and never fails to get the party started right. Jackin house rubs shoulders with big electro and tech house, all seamlessly blended together. She knows how to work a crowd and is always the guest we know we can rely on to bring Shuffle to life, so a return booking is never far away. Described by Lottie who has been championing her as "fantastic, discerning and a technically perfect DJ" SUZE has been hailed as one to watch for the future. Suze has pretty much made waves in the nation's capital straight away playing at venues such as Ministry Of Sound and featuring in DJ Mag! Not wanting to pigeonhole herself, her style is House, which leans toward Deep and Tech, depending on time and crowd! Geisha's guest for this all female affair will be SMOKIN JO! Arriving on the scene in 1991 she hasn't looked back since. Her first residency, at the legendary after hours event Trade @ Turnmills, lead to slots in Ibiza where she's become the queen of clubs. Regular storming sets at Amnesia, Privilege and Space ensure clubbers return home with big smiles on their faces. Expect deep and dark house music mixed with tech and tribal on a smooth journey through all things four/four. The Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism. Ollie Hayes (Hallam FM) needs no introduction - at Shuffle he will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now: Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy. In earth we have the rapidly expanding RnB sessions with Becky Hayes & LJ Freeman, expect evertything from the old school vibes of Black Street and R Kelly to modern day grooves from Labyrinth to Gyptian to Nicki Minaj http://www.facebook.com/pages/We-Are-Geisha/118850174815928?v=info
 Share this content via...
