Watch repair not chain store ones.

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to get my Genuine RAF tornado fast jet navigator Seiko watch repaired. It's loosing time badly , about 30 seconds in every minuet. I've changed the battery and still same.

I want this to go to a genuine watch maker and not someone like Samuaels as last time I did this they took 2 years to replace the Chronograph motors, after they fitted wrong size glass and it leaked water into the watch, I joke you not !!!!

Any help please, any good recommendations. I'd also don't want Mick the market man bodger as this is a £700 watch second hand.

Cheers Eric.

Take it to H L Browns it might be an expensive shop but its a rare watch, Dont take it to parkers at hillsbro they charge to much and it could come back worsr than it went in. Mine did.

There is a small shop/ watch repairer on Attercliffe Road, who did a good job on my watch. Can't recall the name but it's on the RH side heading away from town beyond the old Banners shop.

There's places I prefer in other parts of the country, but in Sheffield Leslie Cass on Surrey Street is good for more higher-end workmanship and aren't overly expensive.

Ah I think I know the one

If I remember he fitted me a new glass when I first bought the watch 20 odd years ago from a army shop in Leeds.

I'd have thought he would have gone given last time I was there ?

That is Dobsons, but I think they are closed now. We went last week and they were shut and there is a for sale sign above the shop.
