also i want the new leader of council if it is indeed labour to state whether they will favour areas again like usual

 

Yeah, Page Hall gets refurbished houses, roofs etc. new boundary/retaining walls, in fact everything. People living in older property in areas like Hillsborough and Highgreen have NO CHANCE of any grants for their properties. Why Page Hall and Burngreave ???? I'll leave you to work it out for yourselves, it shouldn't be difficult !!! :rant:

The referendum votes will not be counted until tomorrow afternoon - a result is expected at about 8pm.

 

28 of Sheffield's 84 council seats are up for election; the Lib Dems hold 15 of those 28, and privately believe they've lost twelve of them.

 

It's not really fair for decent councillors to lose their seats due to a backlash against that plonker Nick Clegg, but thats life...........

Lib dem vote down a lot, labour up a lot. BNP didn't stand, Green party made a large gain. Con vote down.

I'm not all that clued up on this type of thing but from what i read on here so far it looks like working class people are not too happy with this shambles of a coalition government atm and are moving over to Labour.
