Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know about the latest workshops we're having over at Jam Jar Beads. You can go on our website to see photos.

Saturday 14th May

2.00pm-5.30pm

Basic jewellery making

£25 per person

Perfect for those of you who are new to jewellery making and want to learn the basic techniques for making your own jewellery.

In the workshop you will make a chain and bead necklace, a beaded wire bracelet, a simple pair of drop earrings, and a pair of beaded teardrop earrings. Each item uses a different technique and different materials.

Saturday 28th May

2.00pm-4.00pm

Knotted cord necklace

£12 per person

Learn cord knotting techniques to create this lovely beaded necklace.

This workshop includes cord and findings but so that you can make the exact necklace that you want, you will pick and buy your own selection of beads and ribbon when you come to the workshop.

Saturday 4th June

11.00am-3.30pm (with a 30 minute break)

Beadweaving necklace

£18 per person

Make this necklace using beadweaving techniques to string together seed beads to create the fringe pattern.

Suitable for beginners.

Saturday 11th June

2.00pm-5.00pm

Making and decorating felt beads

£18 per person

Learn to make your own felt beads using wool and hot water!

Make the beads first, then decorate them using seed beads and ribbon.

Saturday 18th June

2.00pm-4.30pm

Fimo cake charms/pendants

£20 per person

Make a little mini cake using your choice of colours. Make the whole cake then decide how you want to cut it up - maybe make a pair of earrings and a necklace? Or slice it up and make a charm bracelet?

All materials will be provided by us.

You can book for any of our workshops on our website, over the phone (0114 327 7232) or pop in to the shop and say Hi. Let us know if you have any questions!
