LJB23 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Yes you will def need permission, I had to get permission to laminate the bottom of the stair case, it was the council that laminated it too as they ripped my carpet when fitting central heating.
scousemouse Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Think I am right in saying that however much you spend on council property,when the house is vacated the 'demolition' squad move in, and rip everything out, even in these days of cut backs. I have a friend who lives in a council flat, she has spent a small fortune, new boiler, kitchen, fitted robes etc, it is alittle palace, all very tatseful. I know she is not thinking of moving, but it would be criminal to tear out the lovely fixtures and fittings.
