HypnoReiki   10 #109 Posted January 4, 2016 Hi ladies and gents,  I also provide discreet hypnotherapy and emotional support services for private clients across Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Worksop and Barnsley.  I always offer free consultations face to face for all new clients to make sure hypnotherapy is suited for you and that you feel comfortable with the process. I think it offers some reassurance and peace of mind before you start! It also gives me a chance to ask more in depth questions about what you are currently experiencing and how you'd prefer it to change for maximum positive impact. I'm verified by the government endorsed Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (the CNHC) and accredited as a full insured member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists (NCH).  Thanks for reading! flamingjimmy   10 #110 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) I'm verified by the government endorsed Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (the CNHC) and accredited as a full insured member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists (NCH).  I would really love to know what exactly did you have to do to become 'verified' by these two organisations?  Going on their website, it appears all you need to do to be 'verified' by the CNHC is apply on their website and pay them a fee.  No training, no inspection, no exam, no coursework, just an application on the internet and a small fee.  Yup, seems legit.  The other one seems a bit better, they actually ask you to evidence your skills, though to what extent I don't know.  Also, doesn't advertising the completely nonsense Reiki alongside hypnotherapy kind of completely destroy your image? HalcyonS36   10 #111 Posted April 4, 2016 Hi, flamingjimmy ( please bear with me this is my first post hee) I can tell you that the CNHC and the GHR are interlinked and I can assure you that the CNHC do check the relevant qualifications for the field in which you apply. To join any of these bodies one must have an accepted qualification and the relevant insurance. At the end of the day registration is voluntary as there is no legal or formal requirements. There is no further training or exam required to join as the initial training would have covered this. If you would like further information check out the application form it has more details. And as for a Hypnotherapist offering Reiki, both are alternative therapies so they actually compliment each other and it it personal preference whether to offer/ believe in these therapies. If you believe it discredits the hypnotherapist then choose another one more in keeping with your beliefs. I hope this answers some of your questions flaming Jimmy. If there is anything more you would like to know, feel free to ask.
 Share this content via...

Barney2 Â Â 10 #116 Posted July 12, 2016 I'd just like to add my name to this list if anyone searches the forums for hypnotherapy. I specialise in smoking cessation, I also find phobias very easy to deal with, and I can help with other issues as they were all part of the training in any case. Â I use a cutting edge parts therapy approach to smoking, very successful. focusedhypno   10 #117 Posted August 17, 2016 Some Hypnoterrapy session with the right person can do very good. Obviously it's about the problem that you try to solve. Maybe one or two can help with small problem with more serious one you have to go all a lot more. Also Nlp is desciplene I would reccomand as soon I found some good infos I will pass it on.  Grazz is right, some issues can be resolved in a very short space of time but there are many more factors involved, not just the problem being tackled. For example, I have recently worked with someone who had depression. He felt much better after 1 session. We just this week had the third and final treatment session and he is feeling fantastic.  The average number of times I see a client for treatment sessions is about 3 sessions.  NLP can be a great way to tackle things. Most hypnotherapists use NLP to a greater or lesser extent as a part of what they do. If you would like more information on what hypnosis is or what I do you are more than welcome to drop me a line with absolutely no obligation, I just like to be able to give accurate information so people can make an informed decision about what they want to do. Scozzie   10 #118 Posted August 18, 2016 (edited) I went to a place in Totley for weightloss; that was a total waste of time. The guy was obsessed with me letting go of the anger over my mother dying. The thing is, I never had any anger over my mother dying.......but he revealed that HE did. Basically, I payed for 3 sessions up front for weight loss, just to hear about his mummy issues.  This place would NOT get my recommendation Edited August 20, 2016 by Scozzie
 Share this content via...
