Flatbed scanner

I have windows 7 and trying to get my old scanner to work with no joy.

There is no drivers for windows 7.

The scanner is a Mustek bearpaw 4800ta pro.

Can anybody help plz.

i have a scanner and couldnt for the life of me find a driver for vista........ive tried everything and cant get it to work

 

i use the puter downstairs which has xp on, works fine

I have an Epson perfection 1200 scanner and it didn't work until a recent Win 7 update. A driver became available and now i'm back in business. Running xp compatibility mode should work though.

Where did you find the driver? Win7 updates haven't resolved the issue under my Win7 Home Premium 64-bit installation (for which, incidentally, XP-compatibility mode isn't available).

 

VueScan got my Epson scanner back on its feet. However, I ended up doing a stealth 'update' of my scanner very recently, which is when I checked again for Win7/Epson Perfection 1200 compatibility. I needed a new colour printer and opted for a wireless HP printer/scanner model that does the job. It's perhaps not a solution for someone who does a lot of scanning, as it's not the quickest beast out there, but it suits me. I'm hanging on to my Epson though, as with VueScan it's still a fast and sturdy bit of equipment.
