Have you tried wiggling the scart lead?

One of the wires in the plug might have come loose. Is there a little light near the on/off button? Is it lit?

Aerial may need checking or your lead from digital box so try another TV that works in its place, if that one works ok. a 26" Bin maybe required i'm afraid

If you have sound and the screen is not lighting.Your problem is the inverter.If the screen is lighting but no picture then its your screen driver panel.

Just a thought, but if the input into the set is from a scart lead, have you checked that it is fully seated (in both the back of the television and the back of the output device - eg Skybox, Digibox etc.). I know from previous experience that if the scart lead isn't fully seated that you can get picture without sound, or vice versa.
