scoobz   10 #3 Posted April 13, 2011 It depends how much of it you're going to do as to how long it will take. And where to park depends on where you're going to set off from!  For instance you could park at Meadowhall, walk into town and catch the train or bus back. The walk would take you about a hour and half.  There are so many different permutations, it's difficult to know what to suggest!  I am leading a walk there tomorrow evening, see this link for more details http://shamblers.forumotion.co.uk/t725-thursday-14th-april-five-weirs-canal
 Share this content via...

chard   10 #5 Posted May 15, 2011 Hello! I've loved walking and cycling the route from the Wicker area to Meadowhall on a few occasions.  It's more likely to take one hour to walk at a brisk pace, and two hours for slower walkers.  The walk is great!  Enjoy! le-joker   10 #6 Posted May 21, 2011 I used the bus, I started from Lady`s Bridge and walked by the river towards Meadowhall where I had my packet lunch. Then I returned by the same route. I took it steady and enjoyed my surroundings, its an easy, gentle walk but by the time I had completed it; I knew I`d had a good day. If I was using a car I would start and finish at Meadowhall. My advice would be to do it on a warm summers day.
 Share this content via...

I tried to do it a few years ago and didn't get very far! Thanks Caroline
 Share this content via...
