sedith   19 #2 Posted April 8, 2011 I had something similar to this with a 51 plate Megane several years ago, I had to have the keys reprogrammed. I'm not sure but I think it was about £40 at Gordon Lamb's.
 Share this content via...

steveh   10 #4 Posted April 8, 2011 How do you know it's not the batteries? have you changed them? If so on some cars you only have a limited time to do it before the memory is lost and it needs reprogramming. You should also be able to use the key in the lock and ignition and it work the immobiliser even if the battery is flat (unless it's an aftermarket one). SlimRick   10 #9 Posted April 8, 2011 Have you tried locking and unlocking the car door with the key? If that doesn't work there is usually a sequence of key turns that will bypass the immobiliser, but without further details of the car it's difficult to advise. Stockers   10 #11 Posted April 8, 2011 I accidently put my Megane fob through the wash, that tends to bugger em up. Cost me 110 notes for a new fob at a key cutting place in Meadowhall.
 Share this content via...
BigAl#13 Â Â 10 #12 Posted April 8, 2011 Try this: Â Ensure ignition switched OFF. Press vehicle central door locking button for more than 5 seconds. Â NOTE: Doors should lock then unlock. Â Carry out the following within 10-15 seconds: Press first key lock/unlock button twice (once on some models). Press second key lock/unlock button twice (once on some models). Â NOTE: Doors will lock or unlock.
 Share this content via...
