Advice on fishing rivers

i know its close season and you cant course fish on the river but can you fly fish ?

yes you can. i've seen quite a few fluff chuckers on the don recently. nymphs and buzzers are the method at the moment so i'm told.

it's a long time since i cast a fly but i'm very tempted to get the fly box etc. out of the loft, buy a new floating line and have a go myself. the river is only a couple of minutes from my house.

new licence just arrived ,says there are now by laws regarding trout fishing on rivers ,sod it im going anyway

that's more to do with taking trout than catch and release. using worm will also be mentioned.
