can anyone tell me what gun would be the best to use on rats?

 

something .22 or .25 with about 11ft lbs min is a must as rats are quite hardy, and a good hard pellet! ive shot a few cleanly that have then run off.

I used one of their .22 long rifles, if my memory serves, can't remember pistol shooting though. I am talking about 1962, doesn't time fly when you're having fun?

 

i remember some members had handguns (pre dunblane obviously) and ammo and a few were shot at targets but not for competition. i've shot various guns in america on hols, including a mauser, a BAR automatic machine gun and a desert eagle.50!

often get some in the garden due to living in leeds and the back alleys always filled with trash

 

thought if I wanna kill some have some fun with it

a relative has a pre charged theoben which is superb, .177 for target shooting, its 100% accurate to 35yards on a f.a.c at about 18-20ft/lbs. has a little 9 shot mag which you click in place and then use a bolt type action to set up each shot. no recoil, just a nice crack from silencer.

I have a Sharp Innova .177. Lovely rifle - very light, very accurate and power up to the legal limit. Recently had it serviced and it shoots beautifully.

Also a Webley Senior (also .177) early model in its own original case.

You're on a hiding to nowt mate, none airgunners are similar in many ways to none smokers and alcohol abstainers, in that if they don't do it, they don't want to understand it as it must be wrong.

 

But to be fair, there is nothing to stop a 15 year old chav stating that they are 18 and buying privately on line. There are specialist airgun forums where their 'term and conditions of use', legally protect them from litigation if the worst happens.

 

So for once I have to agree with the mods, did I really say that?

Anyone care to comment on the Beretta 92fs .177? I have never bothered with multi shots but I have never seen a bad review of this gun.

Mines a pre-charged 10 shot bull-barrel rifle. It has a silencer built into the barrel.

Its not for sale tho!!
