RootsBooster   24 #1 Posted March 20, 2011 Does anyone know of any pub/restaurants in Sheffield that have indoor play areas? There used to be quite a few, but all seem to have closed. The only one I know of now is Monksbridge at dinnington, and that's only a tiny play area.  Is health and safety/accident claims gone mad something to do with it? I know many parents who would also like to find one, I'm sure there is a lot of money to be made if one opens up somewhere!
 Share this content via...

GingerCat   10 #8 Posted March 20, 2011 Fulwood Inn Not an indoor play area as such, but has a corner with toys for i'd guess under 5s. We ate a meal and a sit wasn't busy - more than happy to watch our little one play with the toys. It's not protected like an indoor play and just to the side of the bar and this was 6months+ ago so it could have changed with Stundent back.  Burger King - Penistone Rd. not a pub nor michilin star.. but perfect while passing by for quick food, only about 3mx3m, but it's a softplay areas. Jim Hardie   527 #10 Posted March 20, 2011 Why would a pub have an indoor play area?  Surely pubs are for over-18s?  Sadly, not so. Another reason why the licensing trade is dying.
 Share this content via...

Sarkysod   10 #12 Posted March 20, 2011 Why would a pub have an indoor play area?  Surely pubs are for over-18s?  Yes, generally speaking pubs are, but it appears that some children's activity play area's do not have a licence to serve alcohol.
