That's the nasty thing about wars. People get killed.

Yep for starting another war thats nothing to do with us.

Do you think that 20 - 30 years of Libyan state sponsored terrorism that killed and maimed thousands of UK citizens on UK soil might provide us with more than a passing interest?

I think we should have just stayed out of it and concentrate our efforts instead on saving the people who are worth saving.... the Japanese.

But the neo cons can't sit and watch what is happening in Libya...they sense $$$$$$$$$$$$$

They should drop a couple of 1000lb bombs on Gaddafi's tent when he and his loony kids are in it

A few of you would do well in Libya - just the sort of sadistic material that Gadaffi is looking for.

The news keeps saying we are at conflict with Lybia to stop Col Gaddafi killing civilians.

Is there any proof that he has been killing large numbers of innocent civilians ?

Or are there armed rebels being killed whilst opposing the government forces ? ?

We don't like Gaddhaffi (with good reason) so the people he is fighting are either 'civilians' or 'freedom fighters.'

If we did like Gaddhaffi, the same people would be terrorists.

"The fighter jet that was brought down this morning, was a revolutionary fighter jet and was hit by mistake. There is no communication on the ground," said Sharif, head of the British-Libyan Solidarity Campaign."

So will the Western forces be destroying the rebel Anti-Aircraft defences as well then, or are they supposed to get shot up by a bunch of poorly-disciplined uncontrolled trigger-happy 'civilians'?

I wonder whether Cameron will be pressed to reveal his 'plan' on Wednesday? How is he going to protect RAF aircraft from Libyan 'civilians' armed with Triple-A?

This is trhe point that seems to be getting conveniently overlooked. The rebels appear to be quite well armed. What happens if they start to kill Gaddafi supporters, where do we stand then ?
