Judging by the notices on the window it looks like squatters have moved in to the building that is attached to Debenhams on the Moor (the one that has all the old black and white photos in the window)

I don't understand how squatters have any rights at all. They seem to have more rights than the people who own the buildings that they purport to take over. Doesnt make any sense at all. Shouldn't they just get a job and pay their way like the rest of us??

fair play to them its disgusting that places are left empty and unused when they are thousands of people homeless. The governments job is to look after its population not leave thousands homeless, while tending to the needs of the rich corporations bailing them out, while they seize peoples assests and make them homeless.

I knew a few squatters in London who did have jobs, but still lived in a squat, the building was practically derelict when they moved in, they fixed it up.

 

I remember they turfed the squatters out of the building opposite The Matilda pub, who were just quietly living there not hurting anyone, what have they done with the building since - nothing I bet.

what a load of tosh! if you own a building you can do what you like with it, empty or full its the owners business, these parasites are not homeless, they just dont want to pay or contribute like the rest of society and most of them are doing it to make a fashionable statement:suspect: governments are not there to provide help willy nilly just those in "Real" need not some jumped up hippy that wants free ride:mad:. As for bailing corporations out, by all means let the failing ones fail as they should have with Halifax and RBS, northern rock , Llloyds Tsb, sorry S*** happens and people lose out sometimes welcome to the real world!! rant over and breathe:hihi:
