Can anyone recommend a good hotel and location in Lake Garda please

I am wanting to book a holiday to Lake Garda in June but need some good info. about the place.

Malcesine is by far the best place on lake garda, quaint cobbled streets plenty of bars and resturants Hotel Castello, excellent place. beautiful area.

Any idea what the Riva area is like and any areas to avoid?

Riva is nice, but it's only drawback is that it's at the top of the lake and most attractions around Garda are to the other end. This can add 20 to30 mins on to any

trip out. We usually stay in Garda Town or Bordalino. All Lake Garda is nice so don't worry. There are buses that run all the way from Riva to Verona so it's easy to get around.

We stayed at the Bristol Hotel at Riva and were very happy there.

Riva is nice but a little more a modern town than the historic castle town, like malcesine. but theres a great beach area in Riva and a little market.
