We moved their in 1975. Only stayed a year though got an exchange to Loxley. The flats were fine we had a dailey cleaner to clean walkways and lifts. No vandalism at that time. They were just incredably lonely places to be stuck with a baby you didnt see your neighbors from one week to the next.

I lived on the top floor of habershon court,my first home,i was very young,18,so about 78-79.

Can remember them swaying in very high winds, you could open the window and looking stright down, youd visibly see the movement, quite scary, but totally safe.

Walking the stairs was a real test, especially with a nipper and puschair, kept ya very fit!!

I only lived there about 6 months or so as the relationship broke up.

I have a very vague memory of them, yes. I would have been 9 or 10 when they were demolished, at which time I was attending Burncross School (another demolished memory!).

I did,nt see it but I remember my uncles talking about. It was around about the time they were bulding the three story houses at Woolly Wood , there was a massive earth mover terracing the hill behind one of the part built blocks when it toppled over and demolished the end two units. Luckily there was no one in them at the time.
