Just been this evening to the above...BUT a little miffed when paying the bill at the counter the lady asked if we wanted to tip the staff !!!

I always thought it was up to the customer ? I felt a little annoyed !

WHAT do you all say ? :rant:

that the staff probably need the tips to give them a decent hourly rate - hence the request (which is still was your choice).

 

Its illegal in the UK to require tips to make up salary. All waitstaff should be paid the correct minimum wage for them.

It is customery to tip i think 10% of the bill.Try the chinese buffet at centertainment park,best in sheffield :love:

They will probably be getting paid Minimum wage + Tips, I think that is what they meant.

Soooooo they want you to tip the staff at a buffet? Where you serve yourself?

 

They are very good at clearing the tables (the second you put your fork down)

 

Oh and fab at hovering to be the first to collect the payments

Better than at Jumbos where they now ask you to pay before you eat.
