Can anybody tell me what Woodhouse Mill is like to live in, was looking to live in Woodhouse Village but cant find anything i like, however have found a couple of nice properties down Woodhouse mill, but dont know that area much.

Obviously it is further away from the pubs, shops etc of woodhouse but what about the area, is it safe, quite?

i think you summed it up really. it is further away from the village. I think you really need to drive to live down there. theres not much in the way of ameintiies, but you have got asda up road, and village up the hill.

not much happens down there...

there are some nice walks following the train line though through the countryside...

Yeah i do drive, so thats ok, but thats what was bothering me, i know there is a little corner shop like thing and a post office but nothing else, dont really want to have to drive everytime i run out of sumthing.

I know woodhouse and like there, but the mill area just seems a little cut off from places...

Did woodhouse mill get flooded in the sheffield flood? I seem to remember there being something about that area getting flooded. If that is the case you could prob pick up a bargain. House insurance might be expensive though?

lived there for 20 years & loved it , absolutely no problems ! only moved cos wife wanted a brand new house up road in handsworth , but i wouldn't think twice about going back downt mill. Oh & it didnt flood , it only reached the washlands where the don runs through ! good luck in your house hunt .

River rother !

There is a 24 hr petrol station and 3 shops at woodhouse mill so there is no need to drive anywhere really.
