It's never that high in the sky but usually at around 45 degrees. Slightly faster than an aircraft but a very very bright white light. Usually visible for between one to three minutes.

It will be visible at 7.38 pm tonight for two minutes from west south / west across to the south and will be quite low.

Had to laugh when I checked where it was 10 mins after passing over the UK and it was over Afghanistan!!

Hope the sky is clear!

18:02 and 19:37 tonight.

Starts 10 degrees above horizon in the West , peaks at 60 degrees above horizon in the south. Get yourself outside 10 mins before to let your eyes get accustomed to the light and just keep looking west.

If the sky is clear - you cannot fail to see it - its pretty bright and gets brighter until the peak and then gradually fades back out.

Yes I did. It moved slowly across the sky, a bit like a plane would at night but no noise or flashing lights just one point of light. It was sort of an orangey colour.
