top4718 838 #4 Posted February 8, 2011 I think the problem for the Monkeys is, they are not really a stadium band, their music suits more intimate venues, unfortunately (or not) they have become far too popular to play anything other than enormous sheds and open air venues. Before these places existed bands still toured (every year in fact!). After releasing 'Tommy' and becoming one of the biggest bands in the world, The Who recordrd 'Live at Leeds' in Hull University canteen, ahh them were' days!
