poucinet   10 #25 Posted September 21, 2015 Hi,  We are a host family for a friendly French au pair in South Anston. She's just arrived and would like to meet other au pairs or young people to socialise with.  PM if that is you and we can pass on your details  Thanks
 Share this content via...
L00b   441 #26 Posted September 22, 2015 Mrs L00b attends a French class just across the road in the old part of North Anston on Monday afternoons, I'll ask her to 'ping' her classmates next week. They're not au pairs or young (...don't anyone ever tell her I posted that!) but may well know people who fit the criteria
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #27 Posted September 22, 2015 This might well be the first au pair in Anston.
 Share this content via...

L00b   441 #29 Posted September 22, 2015 Nope, there's been plenty more au pairs in South Anston and North Anston.  We've met at least 4 at various local parties and events over the years.
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #30 Posted September 22, 2015 In South Anston anyway!  South is arguably the nicer part of the village, not that there's a huge difference.  ---------- Post added 22-09-2015 at 09:43 ----------  Nope, there's been plenty more au pairs in South Anston and North Anston.  We've met at least 4 at various local parties and events over the years.  I'm surprised. I can imagine that there are a few people who could afford it, but it's Yorkshire, so being able to afford something doesn't mean you go ahead and spend the money! I married one 19 years ago.  EDIT - hosting an au pair is not as expensive as you might think, either. L00b   441 #34 Posted September 22, 2015 Is that where the flutterbys are?Other side of A57. It's just outside North Anston, travelling towards Woodsetts on Woodsetts Road.
 Share this content via...
Cyclone   10 #35 Posted September 22, 2015 I think you'll find, if you ever met Anstonians Well, it's where I'm from, my parents who still live there popped over yesterday and I'll see my mate and his brother who live in South Anston tonight or maybe tomorrow. Oh, I'm also visiting my brother and family tonight, they live in what is technically 'old anston' I think. His wife came from Anston as well, North, on the main Rd. Is that enough anstonians that I know? I could list some more if you like that it's far more to do with progressive parenting decisions in keeping with, more generally, sharp and broad minds, and far less to do with stereotypes  I should know. I married one 19 years ago. She might have gone to school with me!  EDIT - hosting an au pair is not as expensive as you might think, either.  Sounds expensive, but I don't have kids, so I've never investigated. Is that enough anstonians that I know? It is indeed, so you should know better than to stereotype them along Barnsleyan lines, the way you did in your earlier post She might have gone to school with me!She's a few years older than me, and from what I've worked out over the years on here, I'm older than you, so unlikely. Most probably same schools though (Anston Park, Dino comp). Mrs L00b is also from the main road (Nursery Rd?) in North Anston (Main Street is in the old part, we used to rent the end house on it, by the baulk, in the late 00s just before the terraced cottages sprouted in the garden).
