Just recently, nearly every thread I have read there has been at least one dig at students, just wondered why?

What have a lot of people got against students?

I welcome students, I think the young female ones are well sexy

They smell, they think everything they do is being done for the first time ever, they have annoying accents, they pay for drinks in the pub by debit card, they say 'Like' too many times in one sentance and 'OMG' is not a normal response to a statement.

 

But on the plus side, they spend money in the charity shops, they keep the kebab shops in business and they give us forummers something to pick on.

 

and by the way Cones on cars is soooo 80's!

We were all that age once and behaved in similar ways. A lot of us were also students and it is indeed a great time in your life and should be enjoyed. Bless 'em! And they bring life and money to an otherwise quite dull and poor city, so good on them!

Fear? Worried that they are being looked down upon? Having had a poor education, they wish the same on others?

 

Have to say Sheffield is in fact one of the more welcoming cities for students - but those who can't wait to get the boot in tend to have issues relating to their own educational attainment...
