carosio 186 #2 Posted January 13, 2011 I assume it's rising damp which usually goes to about 1 metre above the floor level (mostly on older properties). If it definitely is this then they usually chisel off the plaster then inject silicone fluid into the brick/stonework, then re-plaster after when dry. Kat326 10 #3 Posted January 13, 2011 use the company opposite Hillsborough Barracks if they are still on the go - it were Sentinel - admittedly used them 18 years ago but they were really good and honest - at that time and used them since 6 years ago for a quote/inspection when we moved here free survey on home and what needed doing.
