Video capture software advice

I normaly use Picture Package, but i have windows 7 and it doesn't work on there and i need to upload some video clips to my computer, can any reccommed a good free software i can use.

Movie maker, it's now downloaded as part of the Live Essentials pack!

But its not as versatile as the XP or Vista version - the Vista version runs on Windows 7 without any problems.

But how do i upload video clips from my handycam to movie maker?

I use to have windows moviemaker on my computer until i had faults with mycomputer and some one i knew at the time did my computer up. When i got it back it was fine then a fewmonth after i came to use movie maker only toget a pop up saying i needed a video/graphic card. So im guessin he took it out? I dont know the person no more. Is there any free video editing software i can get or will i need a video/graphic card before i can get a programme to work?

Sony now provide "Picture Motion Browser" in place of Picture Package.

The functionality depends on your camera model.
