I like the bit off the Plymouth site - "Reda's first season was interrupted by a trip to the African Cup of Nations with Benin, who he had chosen to represent ahead of USA, Algeria and France, all of whom he was eligible to play for."

Because of course, The American, French and Algerian sides were all crying out for a league one standard brick outhouse to shore up their defences...

It should be... he'll be guaranteed a game for Benin, but won't get in the top 100 defenders for any of the others mentioned :hihi:

DEFENDER Réda Johnson is set to become the second Pilgrim to leave Home Park since the January transfer-window opened, with Sheffield Wednesday his probable destination.

The 22-year-old centre-back is scheduled to have talks with the Pilgrims' npower League 1 rivals.

If discussions prove successful, he will follow Craig Noone out of the Westcountry after newly appointed football consulant Peter Ridsdale's warning on Thursday that the Pilgrims would have to sell players to help relieve the club's financial problems.

France-born Benin international Réda has appeared 43 times for Argyle since Paul Sturrock whipped him away from under the noses of Aberdeen in the summer of 2009 following his release by French side Amiens.

He made his debut, as a forward, when coming off the substitutes' bench in a 2-1 Championship defeat at Derby County in August 2009. His final appearance was in the 0-0 npower League 1 home draw with Yeovil on New Year's Day.

It took Réda more than a year to register his first goal, which came in this season's 1-1 draw at Colchester, when he captained the side in the absence of injured skipper Karl Duguid.

His only other goal for the Greens was the opener in the dramatic 3-2 victory over Swindon at the County Ground.

Everyone at Home Park wishes Réda every success in the next stage of his career.

Can't say i know much about this guy but good luck to him and Welcome to Hillsborough m8
