all grown up   10 #2 Posted December 31, 2010 It doesnt look half persian to me....they are usually semi/long haired.Just looks like a white moggy .Being all white will be a good selling point so make sure you state that.
 Share this content via...
curly_locks   10 #3 Posted December 31, 2010 Just looks like a domestic short-hair (moggy ) to me - doesn't have persian facial features or long hair, it's very pretty though, I'd love an all white cat. For rehoming you need to fill out a template and post the ad on the pets section, all the info you need should be here http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=391298
 Share this content via...
neeeeeeeeeek   10 #4 Posted December 31, 2010 Looks like your standard issue moggy.
 Share this content via...

Anyway its a moggy (short haired domestic cat) and looks beautiful, but definately not half persian .
 Share this content via...
medusa   16 #6 Posted December 31, 2010 One of the biggest clues to whether your cat is pedigree (or a close pedigree cross) is missing- we need to see his/her eyes and face shape properly.  Either way round, unless your cat is oriental or one of the more specialist breeds like ragdoll, his/her care needs are pretty much the same whether moggy or pedigree. Please fill in a rehoming template to give lots of information and please remember that there are way too many unwanted cats and dogs in this country and so even with a pretty cat you will not rehome them if you try to charge much for them. Ha3el   10 #7 Posted December 31, 2010 I have to agree sell the brother instead! Or make him take allergy tablets during his stay. why should your pet have to be put out of a home because someone is staying with you?  Far as i am concerned, if someone wants/needs to stay with you they need to fit into your life/home situation. Try also regularly brushing the cat and keeping home regularly vacuumed/dusted etc and keep cat out of his room/off his bed if the stray hairs etc are causing the problem. - good excuse to get him to help out with the housework too! he may even just need to adjust to being around the cat before his body gets used to it. purple.sarah   10 #8 Posted December 31, 2010 This is why pets as gifts are not a good idea. To be fair if it was a surprise maybe the OP was not prepared for how a pet would change their life and have to be accommodated in any future life changes like their brother moving in. Yes there are other options like the brother finding a new home rather than the cat or allergy treatments etc but as they went straight to rehoming the cat that could be for the best. katkin   10 #9 Posted December 31, 2010 Tend to agree purple. I'm allergic to cats but I've no intention of getting rid. I take medication, use a beconase spray and go through a shedload of tissues. I use a steam cleaner, groom the cats outside and let the birds use the fluff for their nests. I'd ditch the brother not the cat
 Share this content via...
Impecunious   10 #10 Posted December 31, 2010 Yup, another vote for ditching the brother not the cat!
 Share this content via...
SpeedDemon   10 #11 Posted December 31, 2010 I can't get the picture to load but yes, there are lots of remedies your brother could try if u wanted to keep the cat. Especially if his stay is only temporary
 Share this content via...
