Another person ending up losing their life after a night out round town.  For all you thugs that go out looking for a fight at the weekend. Just think on - when you punch someone in the head you might not think it will injure them too much. However when you knock them out and they fall to the floor and crack their head and never wake up, then you'll be guilty of manslaughter and will end up doing some prison time! PCG officer   10 #9 Posted December 27, 2010 (edited) SY Police: The man who sustained head injuries following a serious assault outside Alibi bar in Sheffield has now died in hospital. The 26-year-old from the Gleadless Valley area had been in a critical condition at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital since the attack at the junction of Trippet Lane and Holly Street at 11.30pm on Saturday, 18 December,  His condition deteriorated on Christmas Day and he was pronounced dead around 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday, 26 December). He can now be named as Thomas Gower of Morland Close, Gleadless Valley.  A forensic post mortem is due to take place today at the Medico Legal Centre in Sheffield.  Enquiries are continuing with this incident now being treated by detectives as a murder investigation.  A 20-year-old man arrested in connection with this incident remains on police bail pending further enquiries.  Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone with information should contact West Bar CID on 0114 2964117 or the Major Incident Room on 0114 2963017  Alternatively, people can phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 Edited December 27, 2010 by PCG officer Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
