Babies Temperature

Hi everyone

 

Can anyone let me know the normal ranges for an eight month old baby please. DD had a temperature

of 37.1 earlier and wondered if this was high?

Normal is 37C and doctors don't normally consider that a child has a fever until it's above 38C and on its way up.

A temperature of about 36.4°C is normal under the arm.

A mild rise in temperature is about 37.8°C (100°F). See a doctor if your baby’s temperature remains at this level for more than one day or if it rises to 38.6°C (101.4°F).

Doesn't sound alarming to me, my daughter's temperature usually sits about 36 and I don't get concerned if it rises to 37. I usually give her some paracetamol and keep an eye on her. I agree - if its 38 and rising, that's when a trip to the doctors is in order.
