did you buy thier albums and merchandise? if so you did support them, and if united where appearing in your local working mens club for charity or something would you go and see them?, does that make you a fan or supporter, i dont know, just because you havnt seen something in person doesnt mean your not a supporter or fan. Many people who dont get to matches either through ill health, distance or some other means, still supports thier team by buying merchandise, paying for things like wednesday player, generally doing as much as they can within thier means to help thier clubs,

Theres an owls fan who lives in the US he cant get to watch the matches obiousley, so he listens on wednesday player and actually sends cash to swfc to buy tickets for local fans who wouldnt be able to afford them normally, in my eyes he is a fan who supports his club, good on you that yank.
