Motorcycle shops long gone?

Recommended Posts

Spent many happy hours in the early 60s at Wilf Green's on Abbeydale Road. Bought a new Tiger 100SS in 1964 from Wilf who did'nt have much time for "oriental oddities" as he called them! Part exed a 60 Venom which I struggled to start, still can't start Velos! Loved the bargain basement at Grays all priced in guineas. London Road/Abbeydale Road was our mecca, Ropers, Bradburys,Leather & Simpson and Wilf further down, also Wraggs on Gibraltar Street. Back to classics now retired.
