Telephone exchange locations?

Hi all,

 

Does anyone know the location of BT phone exchanges in the city centre? I live on Riverside Exchange and I've been told I can only get 1Mbps. Being so close I think this is a bit odd, just wondered where the exchange is so I can see how far I am away.

Your probably served by the Sheffield Central Exchange on Charter Row. But its all about physical line length, not as the crow flies.

Cheers for that. Well even in a really rounabout way that google comes up with it's only 1.5miles so I'll see what my provider says to a regrade!

I'm with Plusnet and originally they told me I could only go up to 1 meg, but the other week I got an email saying they'd moved me up to 2 meg for no extra cost since BT had done some work on the exchange.

No idea where riverside exchange is (guess at by the law courts?)
