its only a free scan its not a complete protection, dont get mixed up ok, you will still need anti virus after running that. kaspersky is what i would suggest you go and get.

sorry im working and writing on here at same time, i mislead you, the malwarebytes is a scan, the free version is not meant to protect your computer, its a good back up to what ever anti virus you do choose, just to make sure you did get most of whatevers in there causing problems. you wont need to buy two different anti virus.

Can anyone recommend a good anti-virus software for my computer. Especially one that has internet protection. I currently have avast free antivirus but I consider this not to be very good or reliable as certain inappropriate website's keep "popping" up on my PC. For some reason problem only occurs when I'm attempting to get on to the Sheffield Forum website.

 

Why has no one mentioned Microsoft Security Essentials? It's free and excellent.

Note on SpywareTerminator: We originally listed Spyware Terminator on this page out of concerns that Crawler, the company behind the product, had established connections with IBIS, a well known adware distributor responsible for such adware programs as Wintools, Websearch, & Huntbar.
