Another Sheffield Cut!!! They used to purchase a quarter pound of minced meat each week to feed the pirranahs. The saving helps towards bankers bonuses so it still goes to greedy little beggars!

I remember going for a sandwich at the cafe at house of frazer and you could see right into the middle of the hole in the road

 

the cafe is still there in the TJ Hughes building.

 

The view is not of the hole in the road, any more, though, it's of the tops of the supertrams!
